Straide Women’s Group

Straide Women’s Group is an active Group of over 20 members established in February 2020. The group meets every two months in the Straide Davitt Community Hall.

Meetings are a place to chat and organize things together for ‘leisure and pleasure’. The Group is involved in community activities including litter picks, organizing creative classes and other events.

This summer’s highlight was a day trip to Carrick-on-Shannon. In the autumn members are participating in Flower arranging classes with Deirdre McCarthy funded by Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim Education and Training Board (MSLETB). And also participating in the ‘Joy of Movement: Chair Yoga’ classes with Kate McKeon funded by Age & Opportunity. Members are looking forward to inviting the people of Straide to the second ‘Straide Talking’ Christmas Gathering on December 8th.

New members from Straide are welcome to join. Come along to the next meeting on Saturday December 2nd @ 11am on or the Christmas Gathering on December 8th.
